The Parr Co. has announced the opening of a new lumberyard in Spokane, Wash. The two-acre facility will be managed by Tim Kellar, who will report to regional manager Tim Jeffries. Sales initiatives will be managed by Jason Behunin, Parr Lumber’s director of sales, the company said in a press release.
Parr Lumber has been serving the Spokane market for many years, according to Nancy Cranston, Parr’s marketing manager. “We’ve been servicing builders out of our Pasco yard,” Cranston told Home Channel News. But a big project in the Spokane area prompted the Hillsboro, Ore.-based pro dealer to establish a physical presence in Spokane.
“We took possession of the lease on June 7, and we’re just getting trucks there and putting material on the ground,” Cranston said. The Spokane unit will be Parr’s eighth location in the state of Washington, including three Parr Cabinet outlet stores.
With $195 million in annual sales, the Parr Co. operates 40 facilities in Oregon, Washington, California, Arizona and Utah.
