Schilling Lumber Buys Former Edward Hines Facility

[Source: www.prosalesmagazine.com, April 23, 2010]

Schilling Lumber of Saint John, Ind., announced today it has acquired Edward Hines Lumber Co.'s former facility in Mokena, Ill.

The Mokena facility joins a Schilling operation that already has a lumberyard and showroom in Saint John as well as a distribution center in Cedar Lake. Both communities are in northwest Indiana near Chicago.

Hines recently became part of U.S. LBM, an operating company formed late last year that up to that point consisted of operations Stock Building Supply had acquired over the years and planned to close in 2009. When U.S. Lumber announced its acquisition plans for Edward Hines in February, it said then it would re-open the Mokena facility.
