BCMC Chapter Contest
To encourage chapters to promote attendance at the annual Building Component Manufacturers Conference (BCMC), last year we started a new contest. The chapter with the most component manufacturer member locations attending wins!
The prizes are:
· A commemorative pin for each person attending the show who is employed by a component manufacturing chapter member.
· 10 TTW coupons for the chapter to provide online Truss Technology Workshops.
· Recognition for the winning chapter at BCMC and in SBC Magazine.

Remember, BCMC is the place for component manufacturers to conduct strategic/corporate planning for 2009 and get a longer range view of the evolution of our industry. Encourage your chapter members to attend in Denver, CO on October 1–3 to do their corporate planning.
Chapter Meetings at BCMC
Although space is limited, we are once again offering free meeting rooms for chapters at BCMC. If you are planning to hold a chapter meeting in conjunction with BCMC, please let us know if you would like our help. Refreshments and lunch are available if you are interested. Just let us know your needs and we will see what we can do! Take advantage of the ease and convenience of meeting at the show this year. TTT Courses Offered Live at BCMC
New in 2008, BCMC is offering all three levels of Truss Technician Training (TTT) courses in an accelerated format simultaneously over a two-day period. Truss technicians will have the opportunity to earn their certification, which will count toward their companies’ SCORE Certification. These students also receive a free registration to the show! § All TTT Levels Monday-Tuesday, September 29-30, 8:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m.
§ The TTT Live at BCMC schedule is as follows:
§ Truss Technician Training – Level I: TTT Level I is an introduction for design technicians, estimators, and salespeople to acquire the design and engineering fundamentals of metal plate connected wood trusses.
§ Truss Technician Training – Level II: TTT Level II builds on skills acquired in TTT Level I. Level II covers advanced math and load development for live, dead, snow, rain and wind loads.
§ Truss Technician Training – Level III: TTT Level III provides discussion and background of current technical issues.
§ Truss Technician Training – Certification Exam – ALL LEVELS
§ Tuesday, September 30, 6:00 p.m. – 10:00 p.m. (After class)
§ Wednesday, October 1, 12:30 p.m. - 4:30 p.m.
