Deacom, Inc. announces that Nascor Ltd., one of western Canada's largest and fastest-growing manufacturers of building components, is implementing the DEACOM Integrated Accounting and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) Software System at its Alberta headquarters and two manufacturing facilities to link its engineering design data with its accounting, inventory control, purchasing, production, and sales order entry in one business system.
A producer of highly energy-efficient wall panels, roof trusses, and floor systems, Nascor sells to residential and commercial builders throughout western Canada and the western United States. In order to better manage its business, particularly its sales order entry and processing, the company selected the DEACOM ERP System in January of 2008.
According to Chief Financial Officer Tom Gladden, Nascor previously had difficulty converting quotes into orders and managing their relationships with production jobs.
"The way our system was set up before, our design data couldn't easily be incorporated with our business data. It was a labor-intensive procedure to connect quotes to orders to jobs," Gladden says. "Once we go live with DEACOM in April [of 2008], we'll have links to our engineering software so all of our data can be stored in the DEACOM database for greater control of our entire business."
