Southeastern Materials, Inc., a manufacturer of roof and floor truss systems and wall panels, has chosen the DEACOM Integrated Accounting and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) Software System to integrate its business processes for increased productivity and enhanced service to its residential and commercial builder client base.
Southeastern Materials, which also sells lumber, I-joists, windows, and doors, used separate software systems to manage its business prior to the DEACOM selection. These non-integrated systems were not designed to handle the complexity of a business that both manufactures building components and sells building materials.
Michele Goodwin, Commercial Sales Manager at Southeastern Materials, commented, "Having grown over the last 50 years into the successful business we are today, we needed to address the systems used to manage our business. DEACOM will enable us to coordinate purchasing, accounting, Customer Relations Management (CRM), and various other business functions. With this integration, information will be at our fingertips and easily accessible by multiple members of our team, enhancing both productivity and customer service."
DEACOM will link Southeastern Materials' purchasing, inventory, Material Requirements Planning (MRP), accounting, sales, CRM, engineering design software, labor tracking, and special orders process in one software system. Completion of DEACOM implementation is slated for April 1, 2008. |
