General Design Information

The Wood Frame Construction Manual (WFCM) for One- and Two-Family Dwellings, 2001Edition is an ANSI approved document that provides engineered and prescriptive requirements for wood frame construction based on dead, live, snow, seismic and wind loads derived from the 2000 International Building Code (IBC).
Special Design Provisions for Wind & Seismic (W&S)
The ANSI /AF&PA SDPWS-2005- Special Design Provisions for Wind and Seismic standard with Commentary covers materials, design and construction of wood members, fasteners, and assemblies to resist wind and seismic forces.
